Text a Question

How much does it cost to hire you?

My goal is to make quality legal help accessible. I offer flexible payment plans and work with clients to find an arrangement that fits their situation. Your initial consultation is always free — we'll discuss costs openly so there are no surprises.

What happens during the free consultation?

We'll talk through your situation in a private, judgment-free conversation. I'll ask questions to understand what you're facing, explain your options, and give you an honest assessment of your case. There's no obligation to hire me after our meeting.

How quickly can you take my case?

I work hard to respond to all new inquiries within 24 hours, often the same day. For urgent matters — such as an imminent court date, an arrest, or a safety situation — please call or text me directly and I'll prioritize your case.

Will I work directly with you, or with staff?

You'll work with me directly. As a solo practitioner, I personally handle every aspect of your case. You'll always know who to call, and you'll get a real response — not a form letter.

I can't afford a lawyer. What are my options?

Legal fees shouldn't stop you from getting help. I offer payment plans and am happy to discuss what works for your budget. Let's talk — I'd rather find a way to work with you than see you face a difficult legal situation without support.

Do you handle cases outside Salt Lake City?

Yes. I'm licensed in Utah and can handle cases throughout the state. If you're unsure whether your case falls within my practice area, just reach out — I'm happy to point you in the right direction.

What to Expect During a Divorce in Utah

Utah law requires a mandatory 90-day waiting period after filing before a divorce is finalized. During that time, you'll address property division, support, and parenting arrangements. Getting organized early — financial records, asset lists, co-parenting preferences — can significantly reduce stress and legal costs.

Rights

Criminal Defense

Your Rights If You're Arrested in Utah

You have the right to remain silent — and using it is almost always the right move. Under Miranda, anything you say can and will be used against you. You also have the right to an attorney before questioning. Invoking these rights clearly and calmly is one of the most important things you can do in the first minutes after an arrest.

How Utah Courts Determine Child Custody

Utah judges evaluate 14 statutory factors when deciding custody — from the emotional bond between parent and child, to each parent's willingness to support the other's relationship with the children. Courts favor arrangements that provide stability and continuity. Understanding these factors before your hearing lets you present your case with confidence.
